This is a vintage original 1949-50 C-27 Coca-Cola Vending machine that has been in my office and running for over a year. I have been putting cans of soda in it and opening the door to remove them. It is manufactured under license by the Cavalier Corporation of Chattanooga, Tennessee. This Coke machine is a single selection model on the rare side as only 5,600 of these units were produced in two years. This units serial number is 171,002 making this one of the last C-27's ever produced as the production run ended at number 171,190. This machine was built for low traffic areas like offices as it has a capacity of 27 bottles 7-8oz in size.
This machine is in excellent condition and has all of its parts including the Ships Wheel, Coin Box, The Pre-Cooler Basket used for storing extra bottles for restocking, Bottle Cap remover & catch box and the keys to the lock on the swing door. When I plugged in the machine the sold out red "empty" light came on and the compressor begins to hum and after 10-15 minutes the cooler is ice cold as Coke should be. This unit weighs in at about 360 lbs and measures approximately 18" wide 22" deep and 41" tall. The lock and keys for the door is a reproduction and while everything is intact, the coin mechanism seems a little sticky and does not function. The coin lot has been modified to accept dimes as shown in the photos. Stil has the factory non grounded 2 prong wall socket plug.
